The Rituals of Lesson in The Classroom
Hello my loyal blogger,
What's good?
Welcome back to Tiar's Blog.
Thanks for coming back on my blog.
Alright,
Have you ever got the rituals in your classroom?
Certainly, many people have ever done in the rituals in their classroom. Rituals are routines that have an emotional connection that teachers have created to help class run efficiently . Beside that, teachers must have strong routines in the classrooms and routines create a picture of success for the students to emulate. Once the routines have been established see which ones can be enhanced with an emotional connection like, the students line up outside teacher's door for class with high-five, e.t.c.
Talking about the rituals in the classroom it reminds me when I was in kindergarten. Let me share my experience that I have ever got the rituals in my classroom. There are some rituals that my teachers created it in my class:
1. Make line up in front of class with kissing hands
Every morning we usually make line up in front of the class before we enter to the classroom and also we do it with kissing hand our teachers one by one. Beside it, our teacher while check our clothes and ask our healthy. When our teachers got some students who look unwell, she ask "What's going on? Are you okay?". If the student is unwell, she was ordered the student goes to take rest at home until the student getting well.
2. Pray and give greetings before start the class.
After doing line up in front of class with kissing hands, we have to pray before we start our class. Usually we pray together with prayers that have been taught by our teacher. After we finished praying, we give greeting to our teacher with standing up in front of each our chair in the morning. And than my teacher ordered students to sit down.
3. Giving the signals
In the mid of lesson, my teachers always give the student many signals in classroom, like sounds triangles. Usually my teachers sounded the triangle when we want to take a break or have lunch, and finish our lesson or go to home. Not only that, when we was making noisy, my lecturer say " hello my dear students, please take your key mouth from your shirt pocket and than lock your mouth with your key. Have done? and than save it back in your shirt pocket. Good Job!!!." Finally, all of the students are quiet and do not noisy anymore. I think, it is a funny moment, hahaha...
4. Washing Hands
Before we was going to have a lunch or eat our packed meal, my teacher ordered the students to wash our hands. And it also the same thing when we was finished have our lunch or eat our packed meal. We was doing that in order to maintain cleanliness and avoid germs.
5. Pray and Give Greetings after finish the class.
When our class was going to finished, we do the same thing when we started our lessons. We have to take a pray together and than give greetings to our teachers. Exactly, I school is in the Christian Kindergarten. So, we usually take a pray in the Christian prayer.
6. Making a rule before going home.
Usually my teachers was making a rule before we are going to home, such as telling the students " Who is quiet student can back home first?!". After listen up teacher's rule, teh students is being quiet and silent. Because all of students need back home first. Meanwhile, my teachers was choosing one by one of the students to back home.
7. Checking out our bag.
After my teachers let the students go back home, she was check our bags to make sure, that our books have been included in our bag or our packed meal runs out or not. And than, she delivers the students to their parents.
Well...
